[823] The knowledge (ñāṇa) of one endowed with the path (maggasamaṅgī): this is also knowledge of suffering (dukkha); this is also knowledge of the origin (samudaya) of suffering; this is also knowledge of the cessation (nirodha) of suffering; this is also knowledge of the practice (paṭipadā) leading to the cessation of suffering.
Therein, what is knowledge of suffering? With reference to suffering, the wisdom (paññā), the understanding, … non-delusion, investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya), right view that arises — this is called knowledge of suffering. With reference to the origin of suffering … with reference to the cessation of suffering … with reference to the practice leading to the cessation of suffering, the wisdom, the understanding, … non-delusion, investigation of dhammas, right view that arises — this is called knowledge of the practice leading to the cessation of suffering.
