[831] Therein, which are the four objects (ārammaṇa)? Limited (paritta) wisdom (paññā) with a limited object; limited wisdom with a measureless (appamāṇa) object; measureless wisdom with a limited object; measureless wisdom with a measureless object.
Therein, which is limited wisdom with a limited object? In one who does not obtain concentration (samādhi) at will, extending the object slightly, there arises wisdom, the act of understanding (pajānanā) … non-delusion (amoha), investigation of dhammas (dhammavicaya), right view (sammādiṭṭhi) — this is called limited wisdom with a limited object.
