Abhidhammapiṭaka · Vibhaṅga · Vol. 35 · Section 837

[837] Therein, what is wisdom (paññā) in the four paths and in the four fruitions? Wisdom in the Path of Stream-Entry (sotāpattimagga), wisdom in the Fruition of Stream-Entry (sotāpattiphala), wisdom in the Path of Once-Returning (sakadāgāmimagga), wisdom in the Fruition of Once-Returning (sakadāgāmiphala), wisdom in the Path of Non-Returning (anāgāmimagga), wisdom in the Fruition of Non-Returning (anāgāmiphala), wisdom in the Path of Arahantship (arahattamagga), wisdom in the Fruition of Arahantship (arahattaphala) — these are wisdom in the four paths and in the four fruitions. Thus is the basis of knowledge (ñāṇavatthu) by way of the eightfold division.
