[904] Therein, what is thought of immortality (amaravitakka)? That which is connected with the performance of austerities (dukkarakārikā) or connected with views (diṭṭhigata) — reasoning (takka) based on the household life (gehasita), thinking (vitakka), … wrong thought (micchāsaṅkappa) — this is called thought of immortality.
