[930] Therein, which are the three kinds of misconduct (duccarita)?
Bodily misconduct (kāyaduccarita), verbal misconduct (vacīduccarita), mental misconduct (manoduccarita).
Therein, which is bodily misconduct?
Killing living beings (pāṇātipāta), taking what is not given (adinnādāna), sexual misconduct (kāmesumicchācāra) — this is called bodily misconduct.
Therein, which is verbal misconduct?
False speech (musāvāda), divisive speech (pisuṇā vācā), harsh speech (pharusā vācā), frivolous talk (samphappalāpa) — this is called verbal misconduct.
Therein, which is mental misconduct?
Covetousness (abhijjhā), ill will (byāpāda), wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi) — this is called mental misconduct.
Therein, which is bodily misconduct?
Unwholesome (akusala) bodily action (kāyakamma) is bodily misconduct.
Unwholesome verbal action (vacīkamma) is verbal misconduct.
Unwholesome mental action (manokamma) is mental misconduct.
