[934] Therein, what are a further three cravings (taṇhā)? Craving for sensual pleasures (kāmataṇhā), craving for form (rūpataṇhā), craving for the formless (arūpataṇhā). Therein, what is craving for sensual pleasures? The lust (rāga) connected with the sensual element (kāmadhātu), the strong lust (sārāga) … the strong lust of the mind (citta) — this is called craving for sensual pleasures. Therein, what is craving for form? The lust connected with the form element (rūpadhātu), the strong lust … the strong lust of the mind — this is called craving for form. Therein, what is craving for the formless? The lust connected with the formless element (arūpadhātu), the strong lust … the strong lust of the mind — this is called craving for the formless. These are the three cravings.
