[975] Therein, which are the four views (diṭṭhi)?
The view arises, (held) as true and firm: "Pleasure and pain (sukha-dukkha) are self-made (sayaṃkata)." The view arises, (held) as true and firm: "Pleasure and pain are made by another (parakata)." The view arises, (held) as true and firm: "Pleasure and pain are both self-made and made by another." The view arises, (held) as true and firm: "Pleasure and pain are neither self-made nor made by another, but have arisen fortuitously (adhiccasamuppanna)."
