[988] Therein, which are the five dangers (ādīnava) of impatience (akkhanti)? One is not dear and not agreeable to many people; one abounds in enmity (vera); one abounds in faults (vajja); one dies confused; with the breakup of the body, after death, one is reborn in a state of loss (apāya), a bad destination (duggati), a place of ruin (vinipāta), hell (niraya). These are the five dangers of impatience.
