[228] The mind base (manāyatana) is associated (sampayutta) with three aggregates (khandha); it is associated with some [phenomena] of one sense base (āyatana) and one element (dhātu). With how many is it dissociated (vippayutta)? It is dissociated from one aggregate, from ten sense bases, and from ten elements; it is dissociated from some [phenomena] of one sense base and one element.
