[273] Phenomena (dhammā) that are roots (hetu), phenomena that are both roots and accompanied by roots (sahetuka), and phenomena that are both roots and associated with roots (hetusampayutta) are associated with three aggregates (khandha), one sense base (āyatana), and one element (dhātu); they are associated with some [phenomena] of one aggregate, one sense base, and one element. From how many are they dissociated? They are dissociated from one aggregate, ten sense bases, and sixteen elements; they are dissociated from some [phenomena] of one sense base and one element.
