[237] Consciousness (viññāṇa) with volitional formations (saṅkhāra) as condition (paccaya) is associated (sampayutta) with three aggregates (khandha), and is associated with some [phenomena] of one sense base (āyatana) and one element (dhātu). From how many is it dissociated (vippayutta)? It is dissociated from one aggregate, from ten sense bases, and from ten elements; and it is dissociated from some [phenomena] of one sense base and one element.
