[35] The eighteen elements (dhātu): by how many aggregates (khandha), by how many sense bases (āyatana), by how many elements are they included (saṅgahita)? The eighteen elements—setting aside the unconditioned (asaṅkhata) from the aggregates—are included by five aggregates, by twelve sense bases, by eighteen elements. By how many are they not included? They are not unincluded by any aggregates, by any sense bases, or by any elements.
