[1008] Sakavādin: Is the person (puggala) who is practicing for the realization (sacchikiriyā) of the fruition of non-returning (anāgāmiphala) endowed with the fruition of once-returning (sakadāgāmiphala)?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: Has not the person who is practicing for the realization of the fruition of non-returning passed beyond the fruition of once-returning?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: If the person who is practicing for the realization of the fruition of non-returning has passed beyond the fruition of once-returning, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said that the person who is practicing for the realization of the fruition of non-returning is endowed with the fruition of once-returning.
