S. Was not the abandonment (pahāna) of the three fetters (saṃyojana) declared by the Blessed One to be the fruition of stream-entry (sotāpattiphala)?

S. If the abandonment of the three fetters was declared by the Blessed One to be the fruition of stream-entry, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said that all fetters are abandoned by the path of Arahantship.
