[1034] "Should it not be said that one in training (sekkha) has the knowledge (ñāṇa) of one beyond training (asekkha)?" "Yes." "Does not the Venerable Ānanda, while yet one in training, know that the Blessed One is exalted, and know that the Elder Sāriputta and the Elder Mahāmoggallāna are exalted?" "Yes." "If the Venerable Ānanda, while yet one in training, knows that the Blessed One is exalted, and knows that the Elder Sāriputta and the Elder Mahāmoggallāna are exalted, then indeed, good sir, it should be said that one in training has the knowledge of one beyond training."
