[1044] S. For one who has entered upon the attainment (samāpatti) of the earth-kasiṇa (paṭhavīkasiṇa), is there knowledge (ñāṇa) in what is distorted?
P. Yes.
S. Is it not so that earth exists, and that there is someone who enters upon earth as earth?
P. Yes.
S. If earth exists, and there is someone who enters upon earth as earth, then indeed, sir, it should not be said: "For one who has entered upon the attainment of the earth-kasiṇa there is knowledge in what is distorted."
