[1058] [P.] Should it not be said: "There is knowledge (ñāṇa) on the part of one who is unfixed (aniyata) for going to the fixed course (niyāma)"?
[S.] Yes.
[P.] But does not the Blessed One know: "This person will enter upon the fixed course of rightness (sammattaniyāma); this person is capable of comprehending the Dhamma"?
[S.] Yes.
[P.] If the Blessed One knows: "This person will enter upon the fixed course of rightness; this person is capable of comprehending the Dhamma," then indeed, sir, you should say: "There is knowledge on the part of one who is unfixed for going to the fixed course."
