[1062] Paravādin: Should it not be said: "Conventional knowledge (sammati-ñāṇa) has only truth (sacca) as its object, not something else as its object"?
Sakavādin: Yes, it should not be said.
Paravādin: Is it not the case that for one who has entered the attainment (samāpatti) of the earth kasiṇa (paṭhavī-kasiṇa) there is knowledge (ñāṇa), and the earth kasiṇa is included in conventional truth (sammati-sacca)?
Sakavādin: Yes.
Paravādin: If for one who has entered the attainment of the earth kasiṇa there is knowledge, and the earth kasiṇa is included in conventional truth, then indeed, good sir, you must say: "Conventional knowledge has only truth as its object, not something else as its object."
