Sakavādin: If there is someone who understands a mind with lust as "a mind with lust," then indeed, good sir, you should not say: "The knowledge of the ways of others' minds has only mind as its object, not something else as its object."
Sakavādin: Is there not someone who understands a mind without lust as "a mind without lust" … a mind with hatred (dosa) … a mind without hatred, a mind with delusion (moha), a mind without delusion, a contracted mind (saṅkhitta), a distracted mind (vikkhitta), an exalted mind (mahaggata), an unexalted mind, a surpassable mind (sa-uttara), an unsurpassable mind (anuttara), a concentrated mind (samāhita), an unconcentrated mind, a liberated mind (vimutta) … an unliberated mind as "an unliberated mind"?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: If there is someone who understands an unliberated mind as "an unliberated mind," then indeed, good sir, you should not say: "The knowledge of the ways of others' minds has only mind as its object, not something else as its object."
