[1134] Sakavādin: Are there no phenomena (dhammā) associated (sampayutta) with any phenomena?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: But are there not some phenomena that are accompanied by (sahagata) some phenomena, conascent (sahajāta) with them, mingled (saṃsaṭṭha) with them, having one arising (ekuppāda), one cessation (ekanirodha), one basis (ekavatthuka), and one object (ekārammaṇa)?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: If there are some phenomena that are accompanied by some phenomena, conascent with them, mingled with them, having one arising, one cessation, one basis, and one object, then indeed, good sir, you should not say: "There are no phenomena associated with any phenomena."
