[1153] [Sakavādin:] "Do they subsist there on what is given from here?" [Paravādin:] "Yes." [Sakavādin:] "They give robes (cīvara) from here; do they use those robes there?" [Paravādin:] "It should not be said thus. …" [Sakavādin:] "They give almsfood (piṇḍapāta) from here; they give lodging (senāsana) from here; they give medicinal requisites for the sick (gilāna-paccaya-bhesajja-parikkhāra) from here; they give food to be chewed (khādanīya) from here; they give food to be eaten (bhojanīya) from here; they give drinking water (pānīya) from here; do they use that drinking water there?" [Paravādin:] "It should not be said thus. …"
