[1168] P. Should it not be said that the earth (paṭhavī) is a result of kamma (kammavipāka)? S. Yes. P. But is there not kamma that conduces to lordship (issariya), kamma that conduces to sovereignty (ādhipacca)? S. Yes. P. If there is kamma that conduces to lordship, kamma that conduces to sovereignty, then indeed, good sir, you should say that the earth is a result of kamma.
