[1178] P. Should it not be said that aging-and-death (jarāmaraṇa) is a result (vipāka)?
S. Yes.
P. But is there not kamma conducive to ugliness, kamma conducive to a short lifespan?
S. Yes.
P. If there is kamma conducive to ugliness, kamma conducive to a short lifespan, then indeed, good sir, you should say: "Aging-and-death is a result."
