[1180] S. There is no result (vipāka) of the noble dhammas (ariyadhamma)?
P. Yes.
S. Is there not the fruition of stream-entry (sotāpatti-phala)?
P. Yes.
S. If there is the fruition of stream-entry, then indeed, sir, it should not be said that "there is no result of the noble dhammas."
S. Is there not the fruition of once-returning (sakadāgāmi-phala) … the fruition of non-returning (anāgāmi-phala) … the fruition of arahantship (arahatta-phala)?
P. Yes.
S. If there is the fruition of arahantship, then indeed, sir, it should not be said that "there is no result of the noble dhammas."
