[1206] [Sakavādin:] Is there an intermediate existence (antarābhava)? [Paravādin:] Yes. [Sakavādin:] For a person who has committed a deed of immediate result (ānantariya), is there an intermediate existence? [Paravādin:] One should not say so. … [Sakavādin:] For a person who has committed a deed of immediate result, is there no intermediate existence? [Paravādin:] Yes. [Sakavādin:] If, for a person who has committed a deed of immediate result, there is no intermediate existence, then surely, good sir, it should not be said: "There is an intermediate existence."
