[1258] S. Is bodily action (kāyakamma) originated by an unwholesome (akusala) mind (citta) form (rūpa), and is it unwholesome?
P. Yes.
S. Does it have an object (sārammaṇa)? Does there exist for it adverting (āvajjanā), ideation (ābhoga), consideration (samannāhāra), attention (manasikāra), volition (cetanā), aspiration (patthanā), and resolve (paṇidhi)?
P. It should not be said thus. …
S. Is it not without an object (anārammaṇa)? Do adverting, ideation, consideration, attention, volition, aspiration, and resolve not exist for it?
P. Yes.
S. If it is without an object, and adverting, ideation, consideration, attention, volition, aspiration, and resolve do not exist for it, then indeed it should not be said: "Bodily action originated by an unwholesome mind is form and is unwholesome."
