[1284] [Sakavādin:] Is form (rūpa) kamma?
[Paravādin:] Yes.
[Sakavādin:] Was it not said by the Blessed One: "If, Ānanda, this foolish man (moghapurisa) Samiddhi, questioned thus by the wanderer (paribbājaka) Pātaliputta, were to answer thus: 'Friend Pātaliputta, having done an intentional (sañcetaniya) kamma by body, speech, or mind that is to be felt as pleasant (sukhavedaniya), he feels pleasure (sukha); having done an intentional kamma by body, speech, or mind that is to be felt as painful (dukkhavedaniya), he feels pain (dukkha); having done an intentional kamma by body, speech, or mind that is to be felt as neither painful nor pleasant (adukkhamasukhavedaniya), he feels what is neither painful nor pleasant (adukkhamasukha)' — answering thus, Ānanda, the foolish man Samiddhi would be answering rightly to the wanderer Pātaliputta"? Is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
[Paravādin:] Yes.
[Sakavādin:] Then it should not be said that form is kamma.
