[1307] [Paravādin:] Is it not to be said: "For one who sees the benefit (ānisaṃsa) there is the abandonment (pahāna) of the fetters (saññojana)"?
[Sakavādin:] Yes.
[Paravādin:] But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu dwells contemplating happiness in Nibbāna, perceiving happiness, experiencing happiness, constantly, continuously, without interruption, resolving upon it with the mind, fathoming it with wisdom" — is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
[Sakavādin:] Yes.
[Paravādin:] In that case, for one who sees the benefit there is the abandonment of the fetters.
