[1311] S. Does delusion (moha) arise with reference to the Deathless (amata)?

S. Is the Deathless a basis for delusion, productive of unknowing, productive of blindness, tending to the cessation of wisdom (paññā), siding with vexation, not conducive to Nibbāna?
P. It should not be said thus. …
S. Is it not that the Deathless is not a basis for delusion, not productive of unknowing, not productive of blindness, tending to the growth of wisdom, not siding with vexation, conducive to Nibbāna?
P. Yes.
S. If the Deathless is not a basis for delusion, not productive of unknowing, … conducive to Nibbāna, then surely, good sir, it should not be said that delusion arises with reference to the Deathless.
