S. Is there speech for one who is not adverting (anāvajjanta), speech for one who is not attending (anābhoga), … speech for one who is not directing the mind (apaṇidahanta)?
P. It should not be said thus. …
S. Is there not speech for one who is adverting, speech for one who is attending, … speech for one who is directing the mind?
P. Yes.
S. If there is speech for one who is adverting, speech for one who is attending, … speech for one who is directing the mind, then indeed you should not say: "Speech is not in conformity with the mind."
