[1366] S. Bodily action (kāyakamma) is not in accordance with the mind (citta)?
P. Yes.
S. Does one who does not wish to go forward go forward, does one who does not wish to go back go back, does one who does not wish to look ahead look ahead, does one who does not wish to look aside look aside, does one who does not wish to bend [the limbs] bend them, does one who does not wish to extend [the limbs] extend them?
P. It should not be said thus. …
S. Is it not so that one who wishes to go forward goes forward, one who wishes to go back goes back, one who wishes to look ahead looks ahead, one who wishes to look aside looks aside, one who wishes to bend [the limbs] bends them, and one who wishes to extend [the limbs] extends them?
P. Yes.
S. If one who wishes to go forward goes forward, … one who wishes to extend [the limbs] extends them, then surely, good sir, you should not say: "Bodily action is not in accordance with the mind."
