[1478] "Should it not be said: 'Both restraint (saṃvara) and non-restraint (asaṃvara) are kamma'?"
"Yes."
"But was it not said by the Blessed One: 'Bhikkhus, here a bhikkhu, having seen a form with the eye, is one who grasps at the sign (nimitta) … is not one who grasps at the sign; having heard a sound with the ear … having cognized a mental phenomenon (dhamma) with the mind, is one who grasps at the sign … is not one who grasps at the sign'? Does such a discourse (suttanta) indeed exist?"
"Yes."
"Well then, restraint and also non-restraint are kamma."
