S. Might one who abides for the aeon give a robe (cīvara)? … give almsfood (piṇḍapāta)? … give lodging (senāsana)? … give medicinal requisites for the sick (gilānapaccaya-bhesajja-parikkhāra), give hard food, give soft food, give drinking water, venerate a shrine (cetiya), place a garland upon a shrine, place perfume, place unguent, … make a rightward circumambulation of a shrine?
P. Yes.
S. If one who abides for the aeon might make a rightward circumambulation of a shrine, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said: "One who abides for the aeon could not acquire a wholesome mind." …
