[1548] S.: Is craving for dhammas (dhammataṇhā) not the origin of suffering (dukkhasamudaya)?
P.: Yes.
S.: Was it not said by the Blessed One: "It is this craving (taṇhā) that leads to renewed existence, is accompanied by delight and lust, delighting now here, now there — that is: craving for sensual pleasures (kāmataṇhā), craving for existence (bhavataṇhā), craving for non-existence (vibhavataṇhā)"? Is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
P.: Yes.
S.: Then indeed it should not be said that craving for dhammas is not the origin of suffering.
