[1549] "Is it not to be said that 'craving for dhammas (dhammataṇhā) is not the origin of suffering (dukkhasamudaya)'?" — "Yes." — "But is that not craving for dhammas?" — "Yes." — "If it is craving for dhammas, then truly, sir, it should not be said that 'craving for dhammas is not the origin of suffering.'"

Its summary (uddāna):
One who lasts the aeon (kappaṭṭha) would remain for the aeon; one who lasts the aeon could not acquire a wholesome mind (citta);
the person engaged in [a deed of] immediate [retribution] (anantarāpayutta) could enter the certainty of rightness (sammattaniyāma);
one who is fixed (niyata) enters the fixed course (niyāma); one who is hindered abandons the hindrance (nīvaraṇa);
one face to face [with it] abandons the fetter (saṃyojana); delight in jhāna (jhānanikanti); lust for the disagreeable (asātarāga);
craving for dhammas is indeterminate; craving for dhammas is not the origin of suffering.
