[1598] S. Is not the predominance of energy (vīriyādhipati) the predominant of connascent phenomena (dhammā)? P. Yes. S. If the predominance of energy is the predominant of connascent phenomena, then indeed, good sir, it must be said that it is a condition by way of predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya) (and) a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya). S. Is not the predominance of energy the predominant of connascent phenomena, and is that not also a faculty (indriya)? P. Yes. S. If the predominance of energy is the predominant of connascent phenomena and that is also a faculty, then indeed, good sir, it must be said that it is a condition by way of predominance condition (and) a condition by way of faculty condition (indriya-paccaya).
