[1608] S. Is it not so that the preceding unwholesome phenomena (akusalā dhammā) are, each in turn, a condition by way of immediacy condition (anantara-paccaya) for the succeeding unwholesome phenomena, and that that is also repetition (āsevanā)? P. Yes. S. If the preceding unwholesome phenomena are, each in turn, a condition by way of immediacy condition for the succeeding unwholesome phenomena, and that is also repetition, then indeed, sir, you should say: "They are a condition by way of immediacy condition; they are a condition by way of repetition condition (āsevana-paccaya)."
