[1618] Paravādin: Should it not be said that a moment (muhutta) is fully constituted (parinipphanna)?
Sakavādin: Yes.
Paravādin: But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Bhikkhus, there are these three topics of discussion (kathāvatthu). Which three? One might talk, bhikkhus, with reference to the past period, saying: 'Thus it was in the past period'; or one might talk, bhikkhus, with reference to the future period, saying: 'Thus it will be in the future period'; or one might talk, bhikkhus, with reference to the present period now, saying: 'Thus it is now in the present.' These, bhikkhus, are the three topics of discussion" — is there indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
Sakavādin: Yes.
Paravādin: If so, then a moment is fully constituted.
