[1733] Sakavādin: Is it not to be said, "The Buddha, the Blessed One, dwelt in the human world (manussaloka)"? Paravādin: Yes. S. But are there not shrines (cetiya) where the Buddha dwelt — parks, monasteries, villages, market towns, cities, kingdoms, and countries? P. Yes. S. If there are shrines where the Buddha dwelt — parks, monasteries, villages, market towns, cities, kingdoms, and countries — then indeed, good sir, it should be said, "The Buddha, the Blessed One, dwelt in the human world."
