Abhidhammapiṭaka · Kathāvatthu · Vol. 37 · Section 1734

[1734] S. Should it not be said that the Buddha, the Blessed One, dwelt in the human world (manussaloka)? P. Yes. S. Was not the Blessed One born at Lumbinī, fully awakened (abhisambuddha) at the foot of the Bodhi tree; was not the Wheel of Dhamma (dhammacakka) set rolling by the Blessed One at Bārāṇasī; was not the life-formation (āyusaṅkhāra) relinquished at the Pāvāla Shrine (cetiya); did not the Blessed One attain final Nibbāna (parinibbuta) at Kusinārā? P. Yes. S. If the Blessed One was born at Lumbinī … the Blessed One attained final Nibbāna at Kusinārā, then indeed, sir, it must be said that the Buddha, the Blessed One, dwelt in the human world.
