[1735] S. Should it not be said: "The Buddha, the Blessed One, abided in the human world (manussaloka)"?
P. Yes.
S. But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Bhikkhus, on one occasion I was dwelling at Ukkaṭṭhā, in the Subhaga Grove (Subhagavana), at the root of a royal sāla tree"; "Bhikkhus, on one occasion, when newly fully awakened, I was dwelling at Uruvelā, at the Goatherds' Banyan Tree (Ajapālanigrodha)"; "Bhikkhus, on one occasion I was dwelling at Rājagaha, in the Bamboo Grove (Veḷuvana), at the Squirrels' Feeding Ground (Kalandakanivāpa)"; "Bhikkhus, on one occasion I was dwelling at Sāvatthī, in Jeta's Grove (Jetavana), in Anāthapiṇḍika's Park"; "Bhikkhus, on one occasion I was dwelling at Vesālī, in the Great Wood (Mahāvana), in the Hall with the Peaked Roof (Kūṭāgārasālā)"? Is there not indeed such a discourse (suttanta)?
P. Yes.
S. Then indeed the Buddha, the Blessed One, abided in the human world.
