[1833] Sakavādin: Has the teaching (sāsana) been made new? Paravādin: Yes. S. Have the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) been made new? P. It should not be said thus. … S. Has the teaching been made new? P. Yes. S. Have the right exertions (sammappadhāna) … the bases for success (iddhipāda) … the faculties (indriya) … the powers (bala) … the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga) been made new? P. It should not be said thus. … S. Was it formerly unwholesome (akusala) and afterwards made wholesome (kusala)? P. It should not be said thus. … S.
