[240] S. Does the Arahant (arahā) fall away from arahantship (arahatta)?
P. Yes.
S. Has not the Arahant, for the abandonment (pahāna) of hatred (dosa) … for the abandonment of lack of moral dread (anottappa), developed the path (magga) … developed the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga)?
P. Yes.
S. If the Arahant has developed the factors of awakening for the abandonment of lack of moral dread, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said: "The Arahant falls away from arahantship."
