[250] P. It should not be said that an Arahant (arahā) falls away from Arahantship (arahatta)?
S. Yes.
P. But was it not said by the Blessed One: "Bhikkhus, these five phenomena (dhammā) conduce to the falling away of a bhikkhu who is temporarily liberated (samayavimutta). Which five? Delight in work, delight in talk, delight in sleep, delight in company; and he does not review the mind as it is liberated. These indeed, bhikkhus, are the five phenomena that conduce to the falling away of a bhikkhu who is temporarily liberated" — is there indeed such a discourse?
S. Yes.
P. Well then, an Arahant does fall away from Arahantship.
