[289] "Does the person (puggala) practising for the realization of the fruition of non-returning (anāgāmiphala-sacchikiriyā) suppress sensual lust (kāmarāga) and ill will (byāpāda)? And does he suppress them utterly, suppress them without remainder … does he suppress them while realizing the fruition of non-returning?" "Yes." "Does an ordinary person (puthujjana) suppress sensual lust and ill will?
