[302] Sakavādin: Does the past (atīta) exist? Paravādin: Yes. Sakavādin: Is not the past ceased, departed, changed, disappeared, utterly vanished? Paravādin: Yes. Sakavādin: If the past is ceased, departed, changed, disappeared, utterly vanished, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said that "the past exists."
