[470] Sakavādin: "There is, for an Arahant, the emission of semen, an impurity (asucisukkavisaṭṭhi), and yet an Arahant would not engage in sexual intercourse (methunadhamma), would not bring about sexual intercourse, … would not consent to gold and silver?" Paravādin: "Yes." Sakavādin: "There is, for a worldling (puthujjana), the emission of semen, an impurity, and yet a worldling would not engage in sexual intercourse, would not bring about sexual intercourse, would not occupy a bed crowded with children, would not enjoy sandalwood of Kāsi (kāsikacandana), would not wear garlands, scents, and unguents, would not consent to gold and silver?" Paravādin: "It should not be said thus. …"
