Abhidhammapiṭaka · Kathāvatthu · Vol. 37 · Section 574

[574] [Sakavādin:] "Since others might inform an Arahant of the name and clan of women and men, others might inform him of the path and the not-path (maggāmagga), and others might inform him of the names of grasses, timber, and great forest trees — is there, then, guidance by others (paravitāraṇā) for an Arahant?" [Paravādin:] "Yes (āmantā)." [Sakavādin:] "Could others inform an Arahant of the Fruition of Stream-Entry (sotāpattiphala), or the Fruition of Once-Returning (sakadāgāmiphala), or the Fruition of Non-Returning (anāgāmiphala), or Arahantship (arahatta)?" [Paravādin:] "It should not be said thus." … The Discussion of Guidance by Others (Paravitāraṇākathā). ____________ ¹ Khu. Su. 438; Khu. Cū. 85 [= Khuddakanikāya, Suttanipāta 438; Cūḷaniddesa 85].
