[772] P. Should it not be said that the eighth person (aṭṭhamaka puggala) has abandoned the obsession of views (diṭṭhi-pariyuṭṭhāna)? S. Yes. P. Will it arise? S. It will not arise. P. If it will not arise, then indeed, good sir, it should be said that the eighth person has abandoned the obsession of views.
