[773] P. (Paravādī): Is it not to be said that the eighth person (aṭṭhamaka puggala) has abandoned the obsession of doubt (vicikicchā-pariyuṭṭhāna)? S. (Sakavādin): Yes. P.: Will it arise? S.: It will not arise. P.: If it will not arise, then indeed, good sir, it should be said that the eighth person has abandoned the obsession of doubt.
